James Long is an accomplished editor of award-winning documentary feature films and series, who is always striving to infuse thoughtfulness and creativity into the editorial process. He prides himself in his versatility, and thrives in collaborative environments, working closely with directors, producers, and other creative professionals to find innovative ways to elevate the material and craft compelling stories.

James began his career as the Associate Editor on the Eddie Award-winning Netflix series Five Came Back. He has since gone on to edit projects with some of the most renowned directors in the documentary film industry, working with Morgan Neville on the Netflix feature films They'll Love Me When I'm Dead and Miss Americana, as well as the Showtime Series Shangri La; and collaborating with David Gelb on the ambitious Disney+ feature documentary Stan Lee, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

He's also edited numerous hit series for Netflix, including Trial By Media, Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, and Live to 100: Secrets of the Blue Zones.
